Behavioral Health Management
The behavioral health care manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting mental health care, as well as referrals to clinically indicated services outside of Highgate Medical.

Nutritional Coaching
We have Diabetic Educators and Nutritionists who focus on helping people with – and at risk for – diabetes and other related conditions.
Immunizations
To protect against infection and disease, we offer all of the mandatory vaccines our patients need, and participate in NYS Vaccine Free Program for Children.
Same Day Appointments
(Sick Visits)
We set aside openings daily to accommodate our acutely sick patients so they can receive the care they need when they need it the most.
Transitional Care Management
The coordination and continuity of health care during a transfer from one healthcare setting to another as your condition and care needs change.
Chronic Care Management
We monitor and educate patients with chronic diseases and conditions (diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure) to help them live successfully with them.
RetinaVue
The RetinaVue Imager is designed to make retinal exams simple and affordable for providers and their patients, with the goal of increasing access.
Minor Dermatological
Procedures
Our providers at Highgate Medical can perform a wide variety of minor skin procedures in office – such as biopsies, cryotherapy and wound repair (stitches).
Saturday Morning Appointments
On Saturdays are open for sick visits only, by appointment from 8am-1pm at our Youngs Road Location. If you are not acutely ill, please make a regular appointment.
Well Child Physical Exams
The examination is comprehensive and focuses on specific assessments and milestones that are appropriate for young patients' age, development and needs.
Electrocardiogram (EKG)
An EKG is a noninvasive and painless test that measures your heart's electrical activity – including heart rate and how well its chambers conduct energy.
Preventative Health
The best care is preventive care: screenings and immunizations can help you and your family stay healthy and avoid illnesses before they become problematic.
Spirometry
Spirometry is the most common of the pulmonary tests which measures lung function – specifically the amount and/or speed of air that can be inhaled and exhaled.
Women's Health Exams
Women need special exams and screenings. For example, a pap test and a manual breast exam – along with a Mammogram script – for women age 40 and older are included.

We are affiliated with the McGuire Group Health Care System – a family-owned, award-winning health care provider that for generations has been pioneering and integrating progressive programs and services in Western New York. In addition to Primary Care Services and Hospital Visits, HMG also provides Rehabilitation visits and services at the McGuire Group’s Garden Gate; Harris Hill, Canterbury Woods, and Northgate facilities.
